Notes on the official list
- The Secretary of State's online listing of regular candidates for the 11/03/2026 general election does not say whether it is the certified list, so certified is false. The office's 2026 elections calendar says the Secretary of State sends the certified list of general-election candidates to county clerks by August 24, 2026.
- The listing prints party names in capital letters (REPUBLICAN, DEMOCRAT, CONSTITUTION). They are written here in normal case, keeping the listing's wording, which is Democrat rather than Democratic.
- Candidates on the listing's separate write-in tab are left out.
- West Virginia has no governor election in 2026.
