Notes on the official list

  • The Department of Elections posts these as candidate lists that it keeps updated (the federal offices list was last updated October 6, 2026, and the all-offices list October 9, 2026); neither list calls itself certified or final. The two lists agree on every federal candidate, party, district and incumbent mark.
  • Incumbents are marked as the list marks them, in its "Incumbent" column.
  • The list gives most campaign websites without http:// or https://, so we link them with https://. Three listed websites did not load when we checked on October 27, 2026, so we do not link them: Alaha Ahrar: alahaahrarforcongress.com (the address could not be found); Tim S. Sharman: www.timsharmanforcongress.com (the secure connection failed); Joshua E. Ertle: www.joshua.vote (the site’s security certificate had expired).
  • Virginia has no governor race in 2026, and no U.S. Senate or U.S. House seat has a special election on the November 3, 2026 lists (the special elections on the lists are for state and local offices).
