On the ballot

Why this matters: Every voter in Minnesota votes in the statewide races. For the U.S. House, you vote only in the district where you live.

10 races for Congress and governor on Minnesota's November 3, 2026 ballot, from the state's official list of candidates.1 Your ballot will also have state and local races that this guide doesn't cover yet. To compare a race's candidates side by side, open the race, or see Minnesota's 2026 election page.

Notes on the official list

  • The Secretary of State's candidate filing site (candidates.sos.mn.gov) showed a bot check we could not pass. We took the list instead from the Secretary of State's candidate table for the November 3 election, posted on its election results file server and last updated October 27, 2026. That table does not say it is certified or final.
  • The November 3 results files on that server currently hold test vote counts. We used only the candidate table, not any vote numbers. We checked each Democratic-Farmer-Labor and Republican nominee against the Secretary of State's August 11, 2026 primary results.
  • The candidate table gives parties as codes (R, DFL, LIB, IND, GP). We used the party names from the Secretary of State's party table: Republican, Democratic-Farmer-Labor, Libertarian, Independent and Green. We could not check the exact wording printed on the ballot.
  • Minnesota elects the governor and lieutenant governor as a joint ticket. The ballot lines read 'Steven Young and Jane Kirby', 'Amy Klobuchar and Ben Schierer' and 'Lisa Demuth and Ryan Wilson'; we list only the governor candidate's name.
  • The candidate table does not mark incumbents, so we set none. Candidates are listed in the order of the state's table.
