Notes on the official list
- Candidates here come from the Secretary of State's candidate filings for the 2026 General Election and match the official county sample ballots the Secretary of State posts, which state that the listed races will appear on the voting machines and paper ballots. Neither the filings nor the sample ballots use the word certified, so certified is false.
- The Secretary of State's ballots page does not post a Jefferson County (District 3) sample ballot; it links instead to the Jefferson County Clerk's ballot lookup, which needs a voter's address. The District 3 candidates therefore rest on the Secretary of State's candidate filings alone.
- Mohammad Wael Ahmad (Kentucky Party, District 4) is listed by the Secretary of State as withdrawn on August 10, 2026, and does not appear on the District 4 county sample ballots we checked (Campbell, Kenton, Boone), so he is excluded.
- Write-in candidates on file are excluded: Thomas Michael Murphy (U.S. Senate), Peter Harmon Williams (District 4), Billy Ray Wilson (District 5) and Robert Quigley (District 6).
