§3Notes on the research
What the research couldn’t find or confirm, in its own plain words. Nothing is left out silently.
- Washington measures have no short official title apart from the ballot title (statement of subject, concise description and question), so title is omitted for all three.
- The Secretary of State's certification of measures is a scanned document with no text layer; we read it from the page images and text recognition, checking the English ballot titles against the images.
- The certified ballot title for IP26-645 includes a sentence about decreased funding for education and human services that does not appear in the Attorney General's May 4, 2026 ballot title letter; we did not find the official record explaining the change.
- We read the Thurston County edition (Edition 27) of the Voters' Pamphlet; statewide measure pages are the same in every edition, but we did not open the others.
