§2Where this list comes from
The list above comes from these official sources. Researched October 27, 2026.
- Referenda: Proposed Constitutional Amendments to be voted on at the November 3, 2026 Election1Virginia Department of Elections
- November 2026 Proposed Constitutional Amendments and Local Referenda (rev. 9/8/2026)2Virginia Department of Elections
None of them calls the list certified or final, so we don’t either.
§3Notes on the research
What the research couldn’t find or confirm, in its own plain words. Nothing is left out silently.
- Not marked certified: the Department of Elections lists the three questions and posts explanations approved by the General Assembly's joint Privileges and Elections committee, but none of the pages calls the list certified or final.
- Virginia also held a special election on April 21, 2026 on a separate proposed constitutional amendment about redistricting. That vote was not on November 3, so it is left out.
- Titles are omitted because the Department of Elections gives each question only a number and the full ballot question, not a short title.
- We did not record the General Assembly resolution numbers or the effective date the General Assembly set for each amendment, because the Department of Elections pages we read do not give them.
