§2Where this list comes from
The list above comes from these official sources. Researched October 27, 2026.
- 2026 Proposed Constitutional Amendments, November 3, 2026 Election1Louisiana Secretary of State
- Statements of Proposed Constitutional Amendments, November 3, 20262Louisiana Secretary of State
- Types of Elections: Constitutional amendments from 2000 to present3Louisiana Secretary of State
None of them calls the list certified or final, so we don’t either.
§3Notes on the research
What the research couldn’t find or confirm, in its own plain words. Nothing is left out silently.
- The Secretary of State's list says these are the amendments that will be on the November 3, 2026 ballot, and its statements give the order they will appear in, but neither document calls the list certified or final, so the list is not marked certified.
- Louisiana also held statewide amendment elections on May 16, 2026 and March 29, 2025; those amendments are on separate Secretary of State lists and are not included here.
- Proposed Amendments No. 6 and No. 10 would each add a new Article VII, Section 21(P). The Secretary of State's documents and the two acts we read do not say how the two would be fitted together if both pass.
- The struck and added wording in Acts 39, 273 and 414 was checked against images of the enrolled acts, because plain text extraction does not show strike-through or underlining.
- Louisiana's ballot wording for each amendment is a full question, so no short title is given.
