§3Notes on the official list
- New York has no U.S. Senate race on the November 3, 2026 ballot; the State Board's certification lists no Senate office and no special congressional election.
- The governor and lieutenant governor are elected together on one ticket. This file lists the governor candidates only; the certification pairs Kathy C. Hochul with Adrienne E. Adams and Bruce A. Blakeman with Todd Hood.
- Names are spelled exactly as the certification prints them, including "Nicholas J. Lalota" (CD 1) and "Michael J. LiPetri Jr" without a period (CD 3).
- In CD 12, Karen Ortiz runs on an independent ballot line that the certification also names "Karen Ortiz"; it is recorded as printed.
- The certification does not mark incumbents, so House incumbency is left to be derived separately.
- Party lines with no nominee in a race (for example, the Working Families line in CD 1) are left out, because no candidate appears on them.
