§3Notes on the official list

  • Governor and lieutenant governor run as one ticket on Alaska's ballot; we record the governor candidate's name. The running mates as printed are: Dave Bronson with Josh Church; Jonathan S. "JKT" Kreiss-Tomkins with Zac Johnson; Treg Taylor with Candi English; Bernadette M. Wilson with Michael K. Shower. The Kreiss-Tomkins ticket's label is printed as "Registered Democrat/Nonpartisan" (Kreiss-Tomkins is a registered Democrat and Johnson is nonpartisan); we record Kreiss-Tomkins's own label.
  • Daniel J. Sullivan Jr.: the Division's 2026 general-election candidate list shows his registration as "Undeclared", but the Division's general-election sample ballots print no affiliation next to his name, so we record no party label. The Division de-certified his candidacy on June 15, 2026 (letter from the Division director posted on its website); its later primary and general candidate lists show him as certified and he is printed on the general-election sample ballots, so we include him. Neither list says why he was restored.
  • The Division also lists certified write-in candidates for these offices, who are not printed on the ballot and are excluded here: for US Senate, Sidney "Sid" Hill and Heather McElwain; for US House, Lady Donna Dutchess; for governor, the tickets of Meda DeWitt / Christopher "Chris" Steere and James W. "JP4" Parkin / Ramadhani "Ram" Greer.
  • The candidate list marks Dan S. Sullivan and Nick Begich as incumbents; the sample ballot prints "Incumbent" only next to Dan S. Sullivan. No governor candidate is marked as the incumbent.
  • The same November 3 ballot carries Ballot Measure No. 2, which would restore party primaries and end ranked-choice general elections; this election itself is run under the current ranked-choice rules described in the Division's election information.
  • Ballot order rotates by House district on Alaska's sample ballots; candidates here are listed in the order of the Division's candidate list.
